Designation: Internal Audit Technician (IAT)
This designation may be awarded through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
The IAT is a designation that denotes that the designation holder is competent in the practice of internal auditing.
Awarding Criteria:
For the professional designation to be awarded, the candidate:
- Must have completed the Occupational Certificate Internal Auditor (OC IA) previously known as Diploma: Technician Internal Auditing, NQF Level 7.
- Must have a minimum of 2 (two) years internal audit experience
OR
- The candidate must have a minimum of 4 (four) years’ internal audit experience, if the OC IA qualification is completed via recognition of prior learning (RPL).
