RPL for Credits

RPL for credits is to provide for the formal award of credits for, or towards a qualification or part-qualification registered on the NQF.

RPL for Credits is used to provide for the awarding of credits by an accredited IIA SA Skills Development Provider (SDP)for:

• The purpose of completing a qualification when a candidate changes study programmes or institutions
• Advanced standing /exemption from specific modules or courses making up a qualification
• Towards granting credits with the aim of granting a full qualification (This needs to take place within a fully transparent and quality assured process, where all the evidence from the process is recorded)

The knowledge and skills are assessed through a formal External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) component.
